Phish has announced their tour in limited locations in North America during the summer of 2016. Some of their shows will be at the Billy Graham Civic Center, the Mann, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Gorge and Wrigley Field. The band has toured through the above mentioned centers and amphitheaters before. Phish plans to end their tour at the Dick Sporting Goods Park. The band has been together since 1983, which is going on 33 years. That is extremely impressive for a rock band. That being said, it’s no wonder that they’re slowing down and taking longer breaks in between tours.
Phish will be starting with a concert in Xcel Energy Center, which they haven’t been in 16 years. Phish just hosted their first destination festival in Mexico in January 2016. There are rumors that the band may tour through Europe as well but this hasn’t been confirmed. Phish just completed a successful 2015 tour on January 2nd, ending with a four-night concert in Madison Square Garden. Even though the band has been together for over two decades, fans still say that there is no substitution for a camp-out for a Phish concert.
There appears to be no end to what Phish is still capable of. Who knows what they will do next? We’re just as impatient as you are to see.
