Coldplay-aHeadFullOfDreamsThe British rock band Coldplay have seen their sound and persona change a lot over the course of their twenty year career, which will be celebrated during a U.S. tour in 2016. The band have moved from indie style rockers in their earliest incarnation to one of the biggest rock bands in the world capable of filling the largest stadiums. Not only is the tour designed to celebrate the career of the Chris Martin fronted band, but will also help to publicize their latest album Head Full Of Dreams.

In fact, they’re going to do it in grandiose style – as they will, in fact, play some of the largest football stadiums in North America! The Head Full Of Dreams tour begins at MetLife Stadium just outside New York on July 16th and continues through September 3rd with a final North American date at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.

The large stadium tour could be one of the last chances to see the band for a number of years as they have hinted at exploring solo projects in the near future. For now, the Head Full Of Dreams Tour is a great opportunity to see a band that has not toured the U.S. since 2012.

The status of Coldplay as one of the biggest bands in the world was secured when they sold in excess of one million tickets for each of their last three tours, and worldwide sold over three million tickets for their last global tour in 2012.

As of now, only handful of Head Full of stadium gigs have been announced – making them quite an exclusive affair. Meaning you hardcore Coldplay fans might have to pack into the van and hit the road.

Scheduled stops:

  • July 16th at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
  • July 23rd at Soldier Field in Chicago.
  • July 30th at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
  • August 6th at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
  • August 20th at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California outside of Los Angeles.
  • August 27th at AT&T Stadium in Arlnighton, TX – the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
  • September 3rd at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California – home turf to the San Francisco 49ers.

2016 Coldplay tour dates and tickets.

Head Full of Ghosts came out on December 4th and took the second spot on the Billboard 200 (top spot on US Alternative and Rock Album charts) behind singles “Adventure of a Lifetime” and “Hymn for the Weekend.”
